Threads of Wisdom

Established in April 2016, in Romania, Threads of Wisdom is a non-profit dedicated to helping women start anew. We believe in creating opportunities for a “better now” while fostering long-term stability.

Threads of wisdom is a project which  aims to empower women and preserve the ancient wisdom at the same time.

 In ancient times, this was an affluent road for merchants that have contributed to much of the wealth and cultural heritage of the modern world. This same road, unfortunately, is being used by refugees to flee their homes due to the current geopolitical and economic crisis in many countries.

What We Do

Our Mission: To empower women to reach their  full potential, by developing their skills  , and to  inspire women, to be active in their societies, to share their experiences, to create networks and to become examples for creativity  and success.

Our Vision: A world where every woman has a peaceful, fulfilled life

— Vocational Training

Enrolling women in sewing courses at Romanian vocational schools to earn diplomas recognized by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Education.

— Social Connection

Facilitating multicultural cuisine and traditional musical nights to bring Romanian and refugee women together with the support of local authorities.

— Direct Support

Providing essential material and financial aid—including medicine, clothes, and food—to those in vulnerable situations.

Holistic Wellness: Inner Outer Peace

Launched in August 2017, this project focuses on the internal landscape of the women we serve. We believe that peace starts from within and ripples outward into the community.
